San Diego County Office of Education Teacher of the Year, Corina Martinez, is surprised in her classroom.

EUSD is dedicated to being the district of choice for Escondido’s children. Through our EUSD Framework for the Future, we are embracing a learner-centered model with innovative programming. District professionals are collaborating to create a strong foundation that helps students reach their full potential. We remain committed to offering unique learning experiences and real-world opportunities that align with the skills in our EUSD Learner Profile.

Over the past three years, we've worked to bring our learner-centered vision to life through various programs and initiatives. Your feedback is essential to our progress at Escondido USD. Please complete this survey by May 30 to help us measure our impact and guide our next steps.

I was excited to join a representative from the San Diego County Office of Education, along with representatives from Cox Communications, including a camera team, to surprise Pioneer Elementary School teacher Corina Martinez, who was named one of San Diego County's Teachers of the Year, a prestigious recognition honoring her outstanding contributions to education within EUSD. The announcement was a momentous occasion, with district cabinet and board members present to support and applaud her dedication and excellence in the classroom.

As one of the top educators in the county, Ms. Martinez will move forward to compete at the state level for the honor of California Teacher of the Year. This recognition highlighted her exemplary teaching and her commitment to making a positive impact on her students, the school community, and the broader educational landscape.
