Good Morning Farr Falcons!

This is Mr. Herman and today is the 126th day of school, Tuesday, March 21st, 2017.  The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of about 70 degrees.

Announcements:

Today is...

Common Courtesy Day - a day to practice common courtesy - The day is a reminder that our treatment of others speaks volumes about our character and our moral fiber.

On This Day in History:

in 1980 President Jimmy Carter informs a group of U.S. athletes that, in response to the December 1979 Soviet incursion into Afghanistan, the United States will boycott the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. It marked the first and only time that the United States has boycotted the Olympics.

Here's Your Science Fact for Today:

An individual blood cell takes about 60 seconds to make a complete circuit of the body.

At Farr Avenue School, Falcon's S.O.A.R...

This is the last week in the Season Of Non Violence and this week we focus on:
Way of the Week 6 - Believing

Along with focusing on the Season of Non Violence we must also talk about our school expectations. This week we discuss how to respect everyone during assemblies and programs, but before we start to go over what is expected, please tell your teachers what you think respect looks like during these times.

Pledge:

And today, we have______________ from Mrs. Rosales' class to lead you in the pledge.  Now, please stand...Put your right hand over your heart, ready begin...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Special Announcements

Remember to please stay out of planted and landscaped areas around school because we want our plants to grow!

And...remember to always stay safe on the playground, around our school, and on your way to and from school.

Thank you for your attention to this morning's message, S.O.A.R. today, and remember to come to school every day and on time because when you miss school you miss out.
