Good Morning Farr Falcons!

This is Mr. Herman and today is the 133rd day of school, Thursday, March 30, 2017.  The forecast calls for sunny sunny skies with a high of about 72 degrees.

Today is...

Take a Walk in the Park Day - Commune with nature and enjoy the bounties it has to offer on Take a Walk in the Park Day.

On This Day in History:

in 1981, President Ronald Reagan is shot in the chest outside a Washington, D.C., hotel by a deranged drifter named John Hinckley Jr.

Here's Your Science Fact for Today:

If all the LEGO bricks ever manufactured were clipped on top of one another, they would make a tower ten times as high as the distance to the Moon.

At Farr Avenue School, Falcon's S.O.A.R...

Today we talk about being respectful in our homes. To be respectful at home, we must always try to listen to our parents, help around the house, and make an effort to get along with our siblings and other family members. When we are respectful at home, we feel good, our parents feel good, and home is a happier place to be.

Aretha Franklin, an American singer, songwriter and musician, said, "We all require and want respect, man or woman, black or white. It's our basic human right."

And today, we have Abraham Arreguin from Mrs. Amador's class to lead you in the pledge.  Now, please stand...Put your right hand over your heart, ready begin...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Special Announcements

Remember tomorrow night the PTA will have Family Movie Night from 7 - 9 on the grass and we will be showing Moana, so make sure to tell your parents and come enjoy a movie with your family and friends this Friday night.

Also remember to please stay out of planted and landscaped areas around school because we want our plants to grow!

And...remember to always stay safe on the playground, around our school, and on your way to and from school.
Thank you for your attention to this morning's message, S.O.A.R. today, and remember to come to school every day and on time because when you miss school you miss out.
