This week, we also also talking about respect during assemblies and programs which also means that we listen attentively to the speaker or speakers, that we do not whistle but applaud when we like something, and that we remove hats or hoodies when in attendance. These acts show the people on the stage that you are ready to listen and enjoy the show.

But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning.” By telling yourself you can’t do something, you are cheating yourself out of the opportunity to succeed. If we really want to see a peaceful change in our school and in our community, we need to BELIEVE that we can.

Daily Challenge: Sometimes it’s hard to believe we can be successful, especially if something is challenging. Sometimes, we need help to believe. Today, let someone else know that you believe in him/her even if they don’t seem to believe in themselves. Tell him/her, “You can do it! Don’t give up!”

This week we also talked about respecting everyone in the hallways and sidewalks and now we want to discuss why it is important to greet others with a hello or a good morning; or discuss why it is important to walk quietly through the hallways so as not to disturb classes, so please have this conversation in your classes.
