National School Nurse Day - National School Nurse Day is a day to celebrate and thank all school nurses that take care of children when they are at school.

in 1869, the presidents of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads meet in Promontory, Utah, and drive a ceremonial last spike into a rail line that connects their railroads. This made transcontinental railroad travel possible for the first time in U.S. history.

Remember that this week is Safe Routes to School week and when walking to and from school we need to Be respectful, so we must wait for our turn to cross the street, move over for someone who is riding a bicycle, skateboard or scooter, and obey all traffic signals and crossing guard or safety patrol directions
