Good Morning Farr Falcons!

This is Mr. Herman and today is the 93rd day of school, Monday, January 22nd, 2018. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of about 67 degrees.

Today is...

Hot Sauce Day - Turn the heat up in your kitchen or on your dining table by adding hot sauce to everything you eat on January 22, because it is Hot Sauce Day

On This Day in History:

in 1984 a new Apple Computer was introduced - The ad for the new Macintosh computer was first displayed during the Super Bowl.

Here's Your Science Fact for Today:

Every year over one million earthquakes shake the Earth.

At Farr Avenue School, Falcon's S.O.A.R...

Everyone at Farr Avenue School can SOAR. Do you remember what SOAR, S-O-A-R, stands for? SOAR is our acronym for what is expected of Falcons. Stay Safe, Own our School, Act Responsibly, and Respect Everyone, so let's all SOAR this week!

Nelson Mandela, an activist and leader in South Africa, said,"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

And today we have Dulce Cruz from Mrs. Wallner's class to lead you in the pledge. Now, please stand...Put your right hand over your heart, ready begin...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Special Announcements

Please remember that it is very important that when you are in the hallways, in the office, or in the library, you are quiet and respectful of those students who are doing their best and working hard on the MAP Tests.

Also, those of you who are taking the MAP tests, remember that you need to slow down, read the questions thoroughly, and try your very best so that you can reach the goals set by you and your teachers. Remember that when you do well you feel good about yourself, so always SOAR when taking your tests and do your best.
Thank you very much for your attention to this morning's message, S.O.A.R. today, and remember to come to school every day and on time because when you miss school you miss out.
