Good Morning Farr Falcons!

This is Mr. Herman and today is the 150th day of school, Monday, April 23rd, 2018. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of about 79 degrees.

Today is...

Take a Chance Day - Take A Chance Day is a perfect excuse for you to play with some odds and venture out into unchartered territories.

On This Day in History:

in 1564, according to tradition, the great English dramatist and poet William Shakespeare is born in Stratford-on-Avon.

Here's Your Science Fact for Today:

The Earth is 4.56 billion years old…the same age as the Moon and the Sun.

At Farr Avenue School, Falcon's S.O.A.R...

Over the last few weeks, we have been reviewing what S-O-A-R means and finally we are going to talk about RESPECT. What does respect mean to you? Why do you think it's important to be respectful and why do we need to respect others? Please discuss these questions with your teachers because when you understand what respect means then it will be easier for you to be respectful.

Walt Disney, American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor, film producer, and creator of Disneyland, said, "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."

And today we have Ingrid Velazquez from Mr. Hernandez's class to lead you in the pledge. Now, please stand...Put your right hand over your heart, ready begin...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Special Announcements
Remember that when traveling through campus you are to stay on all paved areas and off of our grass and landscaped areas because we want all of our plants to grow.

Also remember to be respectful to all students by being quiet while in the office and library; and always remember to stay safe, own our school, act responsibly, and respect everyone where ever you go!
Thank you very much for your attention to this morning's message, S.O.A.R. today, and remember to come to school every day and on time because when you miss school you miss out.
