Announcements:

Today is...

Let's Laugh Day - Let’s Laugh Day is celebrated every year on March 19. It is a holiday that encourages people to laugh and enjoy the benefits of laughter.

On This Day in History:

In 2003, the United States, along with coalition forces primarily from the United Kingdom, initiates war on Iraq.

Here's Your Science Fact for Today:

It takes approximately 12 hours for food to entirely digest.

At Farr Avenue School, Falcon's S.O.A.R...

This week for the Season For Nonviolence we are celebrating:

Way of the Week, week 6 - Believing Mahatma Gandhi said, “Men and women often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning.” By telling yourself you can’t do something, you are cheating yourself out of the opportunity to succeed. If we really want to see a peaceful change in our school and in our community, we need to BELIEVE that we can. Daily Challenge: Sometimes it’s hard to believe we can be successful, especially if something is challenging. Sometimes, we need help to believe. Today, let someone else know that you believe in him or her even if they don’t seem to believe in themselves. Tell them, “You can do it! Don’t give up!”

And...this Friday, believe we can all contribute to a peaceful world by wearing something white.
Pledge:

And today we have... from Ms. Sandoval-Diaz's class to lead you in the pledge. Now, please stand...Put your right hand over your heart, ready begin...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
