Good Morning Farr Falcons!

This is Mr. Herman and today is the 156th day of school, Wednesday, May 18th, 2017. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of about 76 degrees.

Announcements:

Today is...

No Dirty Dishes Day - a day you could celebrate by either not washing any dirty dishes or by washing all the dishes you can!

On This Day in History:

Brown v. Board of Ed is decided - In a major civil rights victory, the U.S. Supreme Court hands down an unanimous decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, ruling that racial segregation in public educational facilities is unconstitutional.

Here's Your Science Fact for Today:

At Farr Avenue School, Falcon's S.O.A.R...

Respecting others is also important at the cafeteria, the computer Lab, and in the Library. When we are respectful in these places, we can listen to important instructions so that we do the right thing and don't get lost, we allow others to eat peacefully, so that they feel better, and we are able check-in and out books quickly so other classes can come in.

Joyce Meyer, a lecturer, author, and speaker, said, "You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind."

Pledge:

And today, we have Yousef Sediqi Mrs. Perkin's class to lead you in the pledge.  Now, please stand...Put your right hand over your heart, ready begin...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Special Announcements

Please make sure that while you are in the office or library you are quiet and respectful of students taking MAP tests and SBAC exams.

Also remember to please stay out of planted and landscaped areas around school because we want all of our plants to grow!

Finally, remember to always stay safe on the playground, around our school, on your way to and from school.

Thank you for your attention to this morning's message, S.O.A.R. today, and remember to come to school every day and on time because when you miss school you miss out.
